Directions
- Add sesame oil and garlic to a pot and set to medium heat.
- When garlic became fragrant, stir in ginger powder, then rice. Stir fry rice for a few minutes until all the surfaces of the rice are coated with hot oil.
- Stir in soup and green onion oil and let boil.
- Reduce the heat to low, stir to scrape off rice from the bottom of the pot and cover. Cook for 18 minutes if using a Staub pot, or 20 minutes if not.*
- Let stand for 5 minutes before uncovering.
*Note
I normally cook for 20 minutes, but last time when I used a Staub pot, the rice was over-cooked: too soft and burned on bottom. I even turned off the heat after I covered the pot for 6 minutes. Reduce cooking time to 18 minutes when using a Staub pot.*InstantPot
