Quick Bok Choy with Oyster Sauce*

Yield: 2 servings

Ingredients

  • 2 to 4 bok choy, cut in half to one-third lengthwise
  • 2 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 2 tbsp canola or vegetable oil - try sesame oil next time!
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce

Directions

  1. In a small skillet or pot, fry garlic until crispy at low heat, for about 10 minutes. Turn off the heat to allow it cool down a bit.
  2. Boil bok choy until mostly tender (for a minute or so).
  3. Meanwhile, stir in oyster sauce and 1 tbsp bok choy boiling water to the garlic oil.
  4. Once bok choy is done, transfer bok choy to a serving plate. Pour garlic oil over bok choy.
