Yield: 4 servings
Ingredients
- 1 lb Brussels sprouts
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 2 tbsp white wine
- 1/4 tsp salt
Directions
- Cut out the bottom 1/8 inch off the Brussels sprouts then make two 1/2 inch slits in a cross shape on the bottom of each one.
- Heat the skillet at medium heat, coat with olive oil, and sear the Brussels sprouts until they brown slightly (placing flat side down).
- Turn the heat to low. Pour wine and cover. Simmer for 10 minutes or until Brussels sprouts become tender (so that a fork readily penetrates them).
- Uncover, make a space to add butter and mix garlic powder. Toss Brussels sprouts with garlic butter and salt.
