Old Fashioned American Pancakes

Yield: 2 servings, 158 cal

Ingredients
  • 3/4 cups (96 g) all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tbsp white sugar
  • 1 1/2 tbsp (21 g) butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup (126 g) milk
Directions
  1. Place butter in a 2-cup measuring cup and microwave for 20 seconds (?).
  2. Add egg and whisk until smooth.
  3. Mix in milk.
  4. In a large bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, salt and sugar.
  5. Make a well in the center and pour in the liquid mixture; mix until smooth.
  6. Heat Cuisinart 5-in-1 Griddler at XXX, or heat a lightly oiled griddle or frying pan over medium high heat (Bill prefers GreenPan flat skillet with no oil).
  7. Pour or scoop the batter onto the griddle, using approximately ¼ cup for each pancake ???. Brown on both sides and serve hot, ~3 minutes per side (wait for bubbles throughout before flipping).

  • 1 tsp salt - TRY 1/2 tsp next time
  • 1 tbsp white sugar
  • 1/2 tbsp (21 g) butter
  • 1/2 tbsp (21 g) margarine
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/4 cups (315 g) milk - TRY 1 cup (239 g) next time

Directions
